La Grava beach in Jávea

A lively urban beach in the town of Jávea, very close by the port, with a delightful promenade running alongside, complete with the full range of amenities for those wishing to do some shopping or enjoy a drink in the sunshine.

Playa de La Grava is located between the mouth of the River Gorgos and the town centre at the port in Jávea.

This is the ideal beach for those who do not like sand, as it is made up of gravel, which means that the waters are particularly clean and absolutely clear. It measures 500 metres in length by 16 metres in width, and is typically fairly crowded in the summer months, which means that those wishing to enjoy a quiet day in the sea on this charming beach would be advised to arrive early.

The beach also has numerous amenities to ensure a fully enjoyable day out, and has been awarded the "Blue Flag" for the quality of its water. It is also fringed by a lively seafront promenade with numerous delightful terraces for a drink in the sunshine with views of the Mediterranean Sea and all the local goings-on.

It should also be mentioned that the beach is commonly used for surfing and other water sports, meaning that activity and a sporting and environment are guaranteed.
