Ambolo Cove in Jávea

A truly unspoiled paradise of crystal-clear water in the town of Jávea. A place to relax in the bosom of nature on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.

It owes its name to a watchtower built in the 16th century at the top of the cliff, which was used to keep lookout for possible pirate attacks.

Ambolo Cove is a small, unspoiled cove within the borough of Jávea, made up of pebbles and providing the ideal setting for lovers of diving, with water so clear that the seabed is visible to the naked eye, making it a pleasure to dive among the extensive beds of posidonia seagrass to be found on the bottom close to Cape of la Nao, while just a matter of metres away is the "Descubridor Island", with its intriguing sea life.

The cove offers visitors the chance to enjoy a refreshing dip practically unaccompanied, and it should also be mentioned that nudism is permitted in this cove.
